POSITION SUMMARY

The Development Associate is a Full-time member of the Development Team. This role involves a mix of database management, data entry, reporting, providing administrative support to the Development officer, and assisting fundraising efforts. It requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Development team. The candidate should also exhibit the flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and evenings, as necessary to support fundraising events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create new constituent records, update contact information, and manage donor-related documents by maintaining notes, uploading proposals, and ensuring effective document management.
  • Experience supporting fundraising and stewardship events.
  • Experience supporting outreach and engagement events or marketing event experience.
  • Diligently enter all gifts and pledges into the database along with and accurate generation of acknowledgement letters.
  • Run basic queries, lists, gift, donor profiles, and action reports to support fundraising efforts.
  • Execute an annual calendar of data maintenance tasks.
  • Produce reports to track appeals, development goals, and return on investment by creating management reports and fundraising progress reports as requested by the Development Officer.
  • Assist in prospect research and ensure information is added to constituent file(s) for existing and prospective donors.
  • Support Board Fundraising Committee meetings by taking minutes.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience with databases, preferably Raiser’s Edge or other CRM systems.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database management programs, internet research and basic office-oriented equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of thoroughness, accuracy and detail.
  • High level of multitasking ability. Self-motivated with creative and efficient use of time and resources in planning and managing various responsibilities to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to comprehend language and demonstrate proficiency in tasks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekend, evenings as necessary to support fundraising events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
